Frequently Asked Questions

GeneralBuying Domains
Why is MacsDomains.com special?
It is special in the sense that I offer very few domains for sale but the ones I offer are meaningful, memorable, high-value domain names. I also price them so that buyers get maximum value with their purchase.
What is a premium domain name?
Premium domains are meaningful, memorable, and sometimes contain popular search terms, though the latter is not as important as meaningful and memorable.

Due to the explosive growth of the Internet, good domain names available for new registration are hard to find. Good domain names that are already registered have become valuable assets and they become more valuable every day. As a result of a strong demand for good domain names, a domain aftermarket has developed to provide a means for people to acquire good domain names for their online projects or as an investment.

Why should I buy a premium domain name?
Good easy-to-remember domain names help drive traffic to a website. That is one reason they are such valuable assets. And because good domains have become scarce, their cost keeps going up.

They are called Premium Domains.

Easy-to-remember names that make sense

If you are like most of us, you already know how important an easy-to-remember website name is. They are simply easy to remember so we remember them. If they are catchy that is even better.

Brand Value

If you find a domain name with good brand value it may be worth buying as an investment even if you do not plan on using it for your own project. Or if it is a domain that someone else could use to compete with you, you may want to buy it to prevent them from doing that.

Premium domain names are like valuable Real Estate

An age old rule in Real Estate is “Location, location, location.” The same rule absolutely applies on the Internet. On the Internet the most valuable location is on or near the first page of search results.

While Google, Bing, and other search engines change their algorithms from time to time, the value of prime domain names keeps rising. Make no mistake about it: As more businesses discover this truth and more businesses come online looking for good domain names, good prime domains are ever-harder to find and, therefore, become more valuable.

How do I buy or bid on a domain name at MacsDomains.com?
Simply click on the domain name you want to purchase and it will take you to a page with a form. Just fill out the form and click on the “Submit” button.

Buy Now: “Buy Now” prices are not negotiable. If we have not received a “Buy Now” submission before yours, you will be first in line to purchase that domain name.

Minimum Bid: If you submit a “Minimum Bid” we will reply to you and negotiation will begin. If we meet at the same price, we will proceed with the payment and transaction process.

How much should I offer?
Begin with your most informed and reasonable offer. If it is realistic and serious your chances of having a successful negotiation will be much greater.
How long is my offer legally binding?
All offers are legally binding for seven (7) days or until another party makes a counter offer. With each new counter offer, the period automatically restarts.
When do I make payment?
A buyer must remit payment within five (5) business days of an agreement and creation of a payment request. This can vary up to a maximum of ten (10) business days due to the time it sometimes takes for money to be transferred to and from different countries.
How do I pay for a domain I purchase?
  1. Wire Transfer: You will be provided with the necessary wire transfer information. When we receive your payment, we will begin the technical transfer of the domain to you.
  2. Escrow.com: A widely used secure financial intermediary. Both parties are protected. Your payment to us is not released by Escrow.com until the ownership of the domain name has been transferred to you. The Escrow.com process is outlined below.
    1. We will initiate the transaction via the email address that you give us.
    2. You will then receive an email from Escrow.com, which will ask you to sign in to their site to review and agree to the terms.
    3. Once you accept the terms, you will be asked to make a secured online payment.
    4. After payment is secured by Escrow.com, ownership of the domain will be transferred to you.
  3. PayPal.com: With PayPal, you are not required to reveal banking details or credit card numbers to the merchant. Take note however, that while it is a simple and fast way to make a payment, this option is not available for your payments exceeding 2,500 USD.
Will I have full ownership of the domain name?
Once the domain is transferred to you, you will have complete and sole ownership of it.
If I already own a domain can I sell it through you?
At present, we do not sell other people’s domain names. All domains for sale on this website are owned by MacsDomains.com or its owner.
