F15X Speed Test Data

Postby supermac » Sun Nov 30, 2008 4:42 pm

We've tested our F15X with a high rate GPS system and are posting our results here. Our stock machine had good engine performance but didnt show the high gps numbers we've heard from others. We expect this to be from our ride plate being corroded slightly from sitting on our PWC lift and the rough surface was causing drag. Conditions were calm and tests were performed on Lake Norman in NC.

We removed the outer bars from our stock intake grate. The ride plate was cleaned up and painted with an anti corrosive primer and sanded smooth. Below is our result.

This our result of the intake grate modification and the MACSBOOST pump wedge. The F15X is a large watercraft and thus has a large wetted surface area. The pump wedge helps reduce that wetted surface area and consequently helps further reduce bow spray.

Using the above config as our baseline, we then add a MACSBOOST ECU to the 100% stock engine. A solid 70+mph was recorded! Not bad for starting at 60.5 moments earlier.
